Situation Does Not Stabilize: Pashinyan at the Government

Despite the efforts of the Republic of Armenia and the international community, the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border does not stabilize. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a government session.

"Azerbaijan continues to carry out actions with aggressive rhetoric, while simultaneously ignoring all proposals from the international community directed towards a political and long-term resolution of the situation," Pashinyan said.

He recalled the April 13 statement from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, which calls on the parties to resume political dialogue at the earliest opportunity. Additionally, Pashinyan noted that Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this call, while Armenia has repeatedly emphasized its readiness to resume negotiations at any time.

Pashinyan pointed out that Azerbaijan is attempting to undermine any logic of dialogue with all its actions, as well as disrupting the implementation of the agreements of November 9 and January 11. He also added that the fictitious trials of Armenian prisoners continue in Azerbaijan, resulting in long years of imprisonment for them.
