US-Russia Closed Negotiations Begin in Geneva
US and Russian negotiations on strategic stability have commenced in Geneva. The discussions are taking place behind closed doors, focusing on the agreements reached during the meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Le Figaro.
The Russian delegation is led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, while the US is represented by Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.
According to reports, the US-Russian negotiations are dedicated to issues related to arms control. Neither Russia nor the US expects significant outcomes from this meeting.
It is noteworthy that a meeting between the leaders of the US and Russia took place in Geneva on June 16, where both presidents discussed various topics, including arms control and security in Europe.
