Although there are no terrorist incidents in Armenia, attacks cannot be ruled out: Britain's warning to its citizens
The UK Foreign Office advises its citizens in Armenia to stay at least 5 kilometers away from the eastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The Foreign Office highlights that there have been numerous instances of border clashes in the past 12 months, resulting in several fatalities and injuries.
"Special caution should be exercised near military positions, villages, and the M16/H26 road near the towns of Ijevan and Noyemberyan. Consular assistance is unavailable in the Nagorno-Karabakh region," the statement reads.
It is also noted that, although there are no terrorist incidents in Armenia, attacks cannot be dismissed.
It is important to recall that the Azerbaijani side has been engaging in provocations along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border for an extended period, particularly intensifying yesterday. Notably, on July 29, around 03:00, Azerbaijani armed forces units, while violating agreements made the previous day regarding a ceasefire, again provoked by opening fire on Armenian positions in the Gegharkunik section of the border towards Karvachar.
