Vaccinated Individuals in the U.S. Required to Wear Masks
The United States is reinstating the mandatory mask-wearing regime for vaccinated individuals. The corresponding restriction applies to areas with high levels of virus transmission. This is reported by AFP.
“In areas where significant and rapid virus spread is occurring, vaccinated individuals need to wear masks in indoor settings and public places to help prevent the transmission of the Delta variant and protect others. This also applies to schools,” said Rochelle Walensky, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It is noted that vaccinated individuals can infrequently transmit the Delta variant. She has urged all citizens of the United States to get vaccinated.
