Judge Withdraws from Moses Hakobyan Case
The former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Moses Hakobyan's case has seen Judge Vache Margaryan announce his withdrawal. The information was made public through the judicial information system.
The basis for the judge's withdrawal is cited as biased behavior, although details regarding the specifics of this claim remain undisclosed. Consequently, Hakobyan's case has been reassigned to a new judge, Manvel Shahverdyan.
It is noteworthy that Moses Hakobyan has been charged under the first part of Article 306 of the Criminal Code (disclosing information containing state secrets).
The former head of the Ministry of Defense's Military Inspection Service, Moses Hakobyan, presented several facts regarding the course and consequences of the war during a press conference held at the “Hayeli” club on November 18. On November 19, 2020, the recording of the press conference was forwarded to the Special Investigative Service of Armenia by the Prosecutor General for further preparation of materials.
Referring to the issues of replenishment and troop gathering processes, Hakobyan noted that he believes a crime occurred, as the country's leader halted the replenishment on the third day of the war, information he learned from officials responsible for organizing the replenishment and troop gathering processes.
