Import Restrictions from Russia Lifted
The State Food Safety Inspection Authority has lifted the temporary import restrictions on live pigs, their genetic materials, pork, and other food meat products, wild boar meat, finished products containing pork, horn, leather, intestinal raw materials, piglets, hunting trophies, and all types of feed and supplements for pigs (excluding supplements containing synthetic and chemical substances) from the Russian Federation, effective from July 26, 2021.
The decision was made based on information published on the official website of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) regarding the African swine fever disease reported in Russia, as well as the decision by the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance on zoning against infectious animal diseases in Russia.
