Major Accident in Kotayk Province: Collision of Mercedes G63 and Mercedes C180 Leaves One Injured

Today, July 27, a major traffic accident occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 6:00 PM, vehicles Mercedes G63 and Mercedes C180 collided on the Yeghevard-Nor Geghi highway within the administrative territory of Nor Gegh. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, one person with injuries was transported to Yerevan's Number 1 University Hospital.

Civilians were the first to provide assistance to the injured, and the duty team of doctors from Abovyan Hospital promptly provided first aid at the scene before the victim was taken to the hospital. The Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service from Yeghevard arrived quickly with one operational unit. Additionally, officers from the first platoon of the second battalion of the traffic police also arrived promptly, led by Senior Inspector Grigoryan.

The investigative work at the scene was directed by Senior Investigator Avetik Avetisyan from the same platoon, who prepared materials regarding the incident. The police are working on identifying the drivers and the injured party.
