Baku is Pressuring Armenia to Obtain Desired Document: Abrahamyan

Representative Tigran Abrahamyan stated on his Facebook page:   “The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister has announced that Baku has not yet received a response from Armenia regarding the proposals for signing a peace agreement and starting the process of state border demarcation. The Armenian authorities have mentioned discussions about border demarcation, but have said nothing about Azerbaijan's proposal for a peace agreement. It is possible that Azerbaijan is bluffing, which is not far from reality; however, if there is any proposal on the table from the Armenian authorities—regardless of whether it came from mediators or directly from Azerbaijan—then it should be openly discussed. If such a proposal has not been made or discussed, then it should be denied. This issue is also important from another perspective: The statements coming from Baku indirectly indicate that they are exerting pressure on Armenia through border tensions to obtain a document that is desirable to them. As for the contents of that document, one can only speculate, but it is clear that signing it is of significant importance to Azerbaijan, as evidenced by their noticeable interest and efforts to achieve it.”
