Armed Robbery in Ejmiatsin: Large Sum of Money Stolen from Store, Employee Hospitalized

Today, July 27, an armed robbery occurred in the Armavir region, specifically in Ejmiatsin. According to shamshyan.com, around 18:30, a man armed with a knife entered the store located at 82 Baghramyan Street in Ejmiatsin, which specializes in animal feed supplements, compound feeds, and profitability technologies, and stole a large sum of money.

Law enforcement officials from the Ejmiatsin division, under the direction of Deputy Chief Armen Karapetyan, are currently conducting an enhanced service at the scene. Several citizens, who refused to speak on camera, reported, “We only saw that a large number of police arrived, and prior to that, the store's employee Eslandai was urgently taken to the Ejmiatsin hospital by doctors due to bodily injuries. After that, the police and investigators cordoned off the area, but we learned that inside, when the robber attacked the saleswoman, she resisted and sustained injuries.”

Inside, police and investigators found blood-like traces, cash lying on the ground – most of it stained with blood, and a broken knife blade. Nonetheless, the criminal managed to steal a substantial sum of money, which preliminary information estimates to be around 2-3 million drams.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Vagharshapat investigative department on the grounds of robbery.

According to photojournalist reports, the woman taken to the Ejmiatsin hospital has been transferred to the “Astghik” medical center in Yerevan.
