Volkswagen Golf Crashes into Rocks and Ends Up in a Ravine: 5 Family Members, Including 3 Minors, Taken to Hospital

Today, on July 26, a car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. At around 22:40, a Volkswagen Golf vehicle veered off the roadway under unclear circumstances at the 2nd kilometer of the Hrazdan-Hankavan highway, crashed into rocks and several trees, and ended up in a ravine.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan at the scene, 5 individuals received first aid from the medical staff of the 'Hrazdan' Medical Center who arrived swiftly and were subsequently transported to the center.

The 2nd company of the 3rd battalion of the traffic police, led by battalion commander Arthur Petrosyan and platoon commander Sargis Bagratyan, arrived promptly at the scene. Senior investigators Karren Baghyan and Mayis Badoyan from the same battalion were also present. Investigation work at the site was directed by K. Baghyan, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.

A police operative group from the Hrazdan Police Department, led by department head Artak Ghazaryan, also arrived quickly. The police are working to establish the identity of the driver and the injured individuals.

According to information from G. Shamshyan, those hospitalized are family members, including the father, mother, and their 3 minor children.
