Oshakan's Gevork Released on 50 Million Dram Bail

The "thief in law" Gevork from Oshakan, also known as Gevorg Melikyan, has been released on bail. This information was reported by the lawyer Mnatsakan Marukyan to "Pastianfo." On July 23, the court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan, presided over by Judge Marine Melkonyan, accepted the defense's motion to replace the pre-trial restriction with bail.

The bail amount was set at 50 million Armenian drams, which was required to be deposited into the court's deposit account before Melikyan could be released.

The lawyer informed us that Melikyan is now a free man.

It is worth noting that Gevork from Oshakan, Gevorg Melikyan, is accused under the Armenian Criminal Code of Article 223.1, which pertains to creating or leading a criminal organization.
