Major Car Accident in Downtown Yerevan: Two Cars End Up on the Sidewalk, One Overturned

Today, on July 26, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan.

Around 02:00 AM, at the intersection of Amiryan and Zakyan streets, vehicles driven by 29-year-old Samvel Hakobyan (Mercedes, license plate 01 HH 017), 35-year-old Arman Tandilyan from Tavush region (Mercedes, license plate 71 OR 077), 24-year-old Areg Jalalyan (Toyota, license plate 426 AC 61), and 30-year-old Harutyun Hambardzumyan from Shirak region (Toyota, license plate 76 OO 001) collided.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, S. Hakobyan, A. Tandilyan, and A. Jalalyan were taken to University Hospital No. 1 for medical assistance, while S. Hakobyan's passenger, 34-year-old Irina Markova, was transported to Erebuni Medical Center.

Passersby were the first to provide assistance to the injured.

Due to the collision, a fire broke out in one of the vehicles, and while waiting for firefighters to arrive, residents of the building fought the fire using their own resources.
