Major Traffic Accident in Arzni Gorge: License Plates Taken Before Police Arrival

On July 27, a major traffic accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 19:20, in the Arzni gorge, in front of the "Hajini Gorge" resort area, vehicles driven by 36-year-old Andranik Altunyan from the village of Fanta and 37-year-old Slavic Sahakyan from Nor Hachn collided.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver of the Hyundai, S. Sahakyan, and his passengers, 67-year-old Vitalik Bazyan and 72-year-old Vladik Bazyan, sustained injuries and received first aid at the scene from doctors of the Abovyan Medical Center, before being transported to the "Abovyan" medical facility. After receiving initial treatment there, they were transferred to Yerevan's number 1 university hospital.

Before the police arrived at the scene, the license plates had been removed from the Hyundai. However, at the urging of the traffic police, a young man brought the removed plates, which read 30 OC 011, and placed them next to the damaged vehicle. The mayor of Fanta village also arrived at the scene.
