Doctors from the Public Health Agency in Great Britain have discovered a new type of coronavirus among the British population. This was reported by РИА Новости.

The new mutation is named “B.1.621,” and the number of infection cases across the country has reached 16. According to experts, most of these cases are linked to international travel.

The agency's doctors are currently conducting laboratory research to better understand the effects of the new mutation on the virus's behavior. At the same time, it is noted that doctors still do not know whether the new mutation reduces the effectiveness of vaccines.
