Over 100 Civilians Killed in Afghanistan: Government Blames Taliban

In the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province in Afghanistan, unidentified individuals have killed more than 100 civilians. This incident occurred after the area was seized by militants from the radical Taliban movement. Afghan news outlet Tolo News reports this, citing a representative from the country's Ministry of Interior, as noted by Ria.ru.

The Afghan government has accused the Taliban, who control the region, of being responsible for the civilian deaths. “Cruel terrorists have attacked the homes of innocent Afghans in some areas of Spin Boldak on the orders of their leaders from Punjab (Pakistan), looted the houses, and killed a hundred innocent people,” stated the Ministry of Interior representative, Mirwais Stanekzai.

According to the news outlet, the Taliban deny their involvement in the killings of civilians. Previously, the Taliban announced that they control 85% of the country.
