VIDEO. A Group of Individuals Hand Over Firearms and Ammunition
Reports of voluntary surrender of illegal weapons and ammunition have been recorded in the subdivisions under the police department of Yerevan. Thanks to the explanatory work of detectives and veterans of the Nor Nork division, a woman residing in Yerevan brought a Kalashnikov assault rifle and various calibers of ammunition to the department, stating that they belonged to her deceased brother.
Similarly, due to the explanatory efforts of community police in Nor Nork and officers from the 'Zvartnots' airport division, a man living in Jrvej brought a revolver, grenades, magazines, and ammunition to the department.
Another instance of voluntarily surrendering a Kalashnikov assault rifle was recorded at the Kanaker-Zeytun police division. According to the man who handed over the firearm, the rifle, magazine, and the ammunition belonged to his deceased father. The explanatory work of detectives from the Shengavit division was also effective, as a man living in Noragavit brought in a Kalashnikov assault rifle that had belonged to his father, who passed away years ago.
Examinations have been scheduled. We urge those holding illegal weapons and ammunition to voluntarily surrender them to the police to avoid criminal liability.
