Ararat Mirzoyan Agrees to Become Secretary of the Security Council
The President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has agreed to be appointed as the Secretary of the Security Council. This information is reported by ArmLur.am, citing its sources.
“Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has decided that Ararat Mirzoyan will be appointed Secretary of the Security Council. Mirzoyan has just given his approval, after previously refusing any appointment,” the website reports.
Earlier, the same media outlet wrote that Pashinyan had offered Mirzoyan the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, but Mirzoyan declined. He also turned down a parliamentary mandate.
