Condition of Man Severely Injured in Gyumri Robbery

The condition of a 70-year-old man who was a victim of a robbery in Gyumri is critical. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Ashot Kyababyan, a doctor at the intensive care unit of the 'Gyumri' medical center.

'The man has a gunshot wound. He is currently in the intensive care unit. Necessary measures have been taken. The man has sustained a broken tibia and is in a state of shock. He will remain in the center until his condition stabilizes,' said the doctor.

It is noteworthy that a robbery occurred early this morning in Gyumri, Shirak province. An assailant, wearing a mask, forcibly opened the window of the bedroom of an elderly couple using technical means, entered the house, threatened them with a weapon, demanded money, and after taking between 60,000 to 70,000 drams, shot the man and fled.
