Arush Arushanyan Transferred to NSS Isolation Cell, Visits from Relatives Prohibited

The Mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, has been transferred from Armavir Penitentiary to the isolation cell of the National Security Service (NSS). This was confirmed by lawyer Erik Aleksanyan in a conversation with 'Factinfo'.

Arush Arushanyan was moved to the NSS isolation cell yesterday. Visits from family members have been prohibited.

The lawyer also noted that a petition has been initiated in Goris in support of Arush Arushanyan.

It is important to mention that Arush Arushanyan has been charged under the Armenian Criminal Code, Article 35-154.2, Part 4, Point 2, and Article 38-149, Part 2, Point 4 as well as Article 38-154.2, Part 3 (violating the secrecy of voting and obstructing the exercise of electoral rights).
