On July 21, a robbery took place in the Shirak region at around 4:40 AM. The police station in Mush received a call from a 70-year-old resident, Saténik A., reporting that an armed mask-wearing individual had entered her home by opening the window of their bedroom using technical means.

The assailant forced her 70-year-old husband to hand over the money they had. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the head of the Shirak regional police, Aram Ghazaryan, along with operational teams from the Mush police division, led by head Arthur Hakobyan, quickly arrived at the scene. A team from the Shirak regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, led by senior investigator Gyozalayani, also arrived.

Upon arrival, police and investigators established that the robber had entered the house masked and, after obtaining money from the elderly couple, fired a shot at Mex A., who was transported with a gunshot wound to Gyumri Medical Center.

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department on charges of armed robbery and illegal possession of weapons. The police and investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to uncover the crime and identify the offender, as well as to retrieve the crime weapon and stolen goods.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, the assailant stole between 60,000 and 70,000 drams from the elderly couple.
