Who Will Hold What Position: Details from "Joghavourd"
According to information from the "Joghavourd" newspaper, following the announcement of the Constitutional Court's decision on July 17, the local authorities are actively discussing the appointment of government members. According to the newspaper, the issue of the head of the State Revenue Committee has been heatedly debated in recent days, and it seems that the current candidate for the position is the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan.
Currently, the authorities are searching for a new Minister of Justice, and the candidate at this moment is Anna Vardapetyan, an advisor to the Prime Minister. If another candidate is found, Vardapetyan may be appointed as the head of the judicial department.
Reliable sources have informed us that the question of the Secretary of the Security Council is also important for the authorities. It has been initially determined that Mkhitar Hayrapetyan will be appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, but if the position of the Secretary of the Security Council cannot be resolved, Hayrapetyan may lead the Security Council himself.
Our sources in the government also indicate that Hakob Simidian will not remain idle, as he is expected to be appointed as the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Simidian does not wish to remain in the legislative body.
We have learned that former National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan is still in a hopeless situation, as he has refused to accept any position. Appointments will be finalized in the coming days.
