Shooting Incident Occurs in Positions Near Kut Village; Military Bases Targeted

During the night, gunfire was reported in the Gegharkunik region, confirmed by Sima Chitchyan, the administrative head of Kut village, in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia.

"The shooting occurred in positions located in the direction of Kut village. There was no fire directed towards the village itself; only military bases were shelled. We have no casualties on our side," the village mayor stated.

He noted that the gunfire was heard from 10 PM until 1 AM. It is important to mention that during almost the same time period, Azerbaijani armed forces were shelling Armenian positions in the Ararat region, near Yeraskh.

According to the Kut village mayor, the situation is currently calm.

The sounds of gunfire were also heard in the Geghamasar and Sotk communities of Gegharkunik.
