Criminal Investigation Launched into the Injury of Yeraskh Community Head from Enemy Fire
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the injury of Radik Rafik Ohikyan, the head of the Yeraskh community, who sustained shrapnel injuries attributed to enemy gunfire.
The investigation has been prompted by characteristics of an attempted murder committed in a manner dangerous to the life of many, motivated by national, racial, or religious hatred, or religious fanaticism.
On July 19, 2021, around 11:30 PM, Radik Rafik Ohikyan was stationed at a combat post of the Armenian Ministry of Defense in the administrative area of the Yeraskh village in the Ararat region. During an exchange of fire with the enemy, he received a shrapnel injury to his right forearm.
The criminal case has been opened in the eighth garrison investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee, under parts 2, points 6 and 13 of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
