Collision Between Lexus and Hay-Loaded GAZ 52 Results in Injury

On July 19, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Shirak region. Around 10:40 PM, on the 118th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, two vehicles collided: a GAZ 52 driven by 64-year-old Gurgen Mkrtchyan and a Lexus GX 470 driven by 31-year-old Harutyun Khndzrtseyann, both residents of the village of Azatana.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the collision caused the GAZ 52, which was loaded with hay, to overturn. As a result of the accident, G. Mkrtchyan's passenger, 63-year-old Sanasar Mazmanyan, who is also a resident of Azatana, was transferred to Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries.
