Charges Filed Against Sukiasyan's Brother; Request for Detention Submitted
Robert Sukiasyan, the brother of the well-known businessman and parliamentary member from the 'My Step' faction, Khachatur Sukiasyan, has been formally charged. Vardan Tadevosyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, informed NEWS.am that the charges are based on the characteristics of Article 258, Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to committing hooliganism with the use of a weapon.
A request for the detention of Robert Sukiasyan has been submitted to the court.
It is noteworthy that on July 18, in the center of Yerevan, at 18 Amiryan Street, several individuals were involved in a dispute, during which they physically assaulted one another. Subsequently, one of the participants fired a weapon at another. A 42-year-old American citizen was hospitalized with an injury sustained to his leg. Another individual required hospitalization due to knife-related injuries. One of the participants in this incident is Khachatur Sukiasyan's brother.
