Zelensky to Sign Joint Declaration with Georgia and Moldova
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will sign the joint declaration of the "Associated Trio" at a summit with Georgia and Moldova. This information was reported by the press service of Zelensky's office.
He arrived in Batumi today for this purpose. The signing of the document will take place during a meeting with the Presidents of Georgia and Moldova, Salome Zourabichvili and Maia Sandu. Following this, the leaders of the "Associated Trio" will hold discussions with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
As part of his visit, Zelensky will also participate in the international conference titled "The European Union's Pulling Power and the Transformation of the Region." Earlier, Zourabichvili made her first official visit to Ukraine, where she announced a normalization of relations between the republics and called for joint efforts towards the EU membership process of both countries. This had been preceded by the return of the Georgian ambassador to Kyiv following the May 2020 appointment of former President Mikheil Saakashvili as head of the National Reform Council's Executive Committee.
