What the 'Armenia' Alliance Will Do with Its Parliamentary Mandates
The 'Armenia' alliance has decided to take its parliamentary mandates. Armen Rustamyan, a member of the Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), stated this in an interview with NEWS.am.
In response to the question of whether there will be other members besides Robert Kocharian who will refuse their mandates, Rustamyan said he could not provide a clear answer at this time.
It is noteworthy that the day before, Robert Kocharian, the former president and head of the list, announced that he had applied to the Central Electoral Commission and renounced his mandate, as he envisions himself in the executive branch.
Additionally, the 'Armenia' alliance will hold 29 mandates in the eighth convocation of the National Assembly.
The Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, mentioned in our conversation that the alliance is currently discussing whether to accept the parliamentary mandates.
It should be noted that as a result of the elections, the 'I Have Honor' alliance will have seven mandates.
