There is a blacklist in Europe, and we are making serious efforts in this direction, says Revazyan
In a broadcast on Azatutyun, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee, Tatevik Revazyan, responded to user questions. In response to a question regarding the recent news about the establishment of a national Armenian airline, and whether that airline would be able to operate flights to Europe given that Armenian carriers have been banned from flying to Europe, Tatevik Revazyan stated: 'Considering that a very experienced team is establishing this company in collaboration with ANIF, indirectly with the state, we will be applying to Europe with a request for an exemption because this is considered one of the safest companies in the world. We know that exceptions are made; this is one option. The second option could involve keeping some aircraft registered in Sharjah but operating them in Yerevan. There are solutions, but the blacklist still exists, and we are making very serious efforts to resolve it.'
