Arzankantsyan's Latest 'Victims' Are Kotayk Regional Office Employees: The Promised 1 Million 780 Thousand Drams Remain Unpaid
Tigran Arzankantsyan is facing another complaint filed with law enforcement authorities. This time, several residents of the Kotayk region reported that they were engaged in paid work during the pre-election period as part of the campaign for the Prime Minister candidate of the 'Democratic Party of Armenia', Tigran Arzankantsyan. Nine citizens were hired, and according to the agreement, they were supposed to receive their salaries and other expenses by June 14. This was reported by Aravot.am.
According to the website's information, Arzankantsyan has not fully paid these individuals, with the former wealthy businessman-candidate failing to compensate them 1 million 780 thousand drams, which was to cover the expenses for the office's operations. Based on these citizens' reports, law enforcement is preparing materials.
In this regard, Tigran Arzankantsyan's press secretary, Tigran Hovhannisyan, told the media that those who signed contracts have received their payments, while some compensations are still in process. He stated, 'Those who have not signed contracts are now demanding some sums of money. They have taken money, spent it, and are trying to extort more cash. This does not reflect reality; there are fraudulent individuals taking advantage of this situation, playing with Mr. Arzankantsyan's good name and reputation, and tarnishing it.'
