Irrigation Water Pipeline and Sewer Network to Be Reconstructed in Akunk Community, Gegharkunik Governor
The irrigation water pipeline and sewer network in the Akunk community of the Gegharkunik region will be reconstructed as part of government-subsidized programs on Barakamutyan Street. This information was shared on the official Facebook page of Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan, who added that the project has been approved by the inter-agency commission.
With a touch of light humor, he titled the announcement: "Good news from the Gegharkunik Governor."
The total estimated cost of the project is 19 million 765 thousand drams, of which 65 percent, or 12 million 847 thousand drams, will be allocated by the government, and 35 percent, or 6 million 917 thousand drams, will be provided by the Akunk Community Administration.
The project plans to construct a 500-meter-long irrigation pipeline using iron semi-pipes and to reconstruct a sewer network of the same length using polyethylene pipes,” Sanosyan stated.
The implementation of the project will fundamentally address the irrigation water supply and drainage issues on Barakamutyan Street.
The construction works tender will be announced in the near future.
