Emergency Incident in Yerevan: 15-Year-Old Boy Cuts Veins with Knife
A resident of the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan, a 52-year-old woman, called the operational management center of the Yerevan police and reported that her underage son had cut his veins at home and was not opening the door.
The alert was transferred from the operational management center of the Yerevan police to the 911 operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A psychological group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and officers from the juvenile affairs division of the Nor Nork police also arrived at the scene.
The police and rescuers managed to open the door and found that the 15-year-old boy, in a nervous state, had harmed himself with a kitchen knife.
A standby group of doctors also arrived promptly, allowing them to save the boy's life. He is not in life-threatening condition.
