American Drone Strikes in Syria

An American drone has struck a food transport truck in Syria's Deir ez-Zor province, near the border with Iraq. This is reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Syrian state media SANA.

According to the source, the incident took place in the al-Bukamal city district of Es-Suweyda. The truck was destroyed, but there were no casualties among people.

The U.S. Armed Forces have established control over northern and northeastern regions of Syria, including Deir ez-Zor, Hasakah, and Raqqa provinces, which host major gas and oil fields. The official Damascus has repeatedly referred to the U.S. presence in its territory as illegal.
