Armen Grigoryan Appointed as Acting Foreign Minister
The duties of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia have been transferred to Armen Grigoryan, who was appointed as the first deputy minister yesterday and is a former secretary of the Security Council. This information was reported to Sputnik Armenia by government sources.
According to the law on diplomatic service, following his appointment, the responsibilities of the minister have been transferred to Armen Grigoryan. As per Sputnik Armenia's data, Grigoryan has immediately occupied the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
It is noteworthy that prior to Grigoryan's appointment, there was no first deputy minister position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and for the past one and a half months, the responsibilities of the minister were carried out by the acting deputy minister, Armen Ghahakyan.
