Video: Psychedelic Pills Sold at a Pharmacy in Ejmiatsin, Police Uncover the Operation

Officers from the Criminal Investigation and the Department for Combating Drug Trafficking of the Vagharshapat Police Department have conducted various surveillance activities as part of the "Nelegal-2021" operational-preventive measure.

The police report that on July 9, they received information indicating that a 40-year-old woman engaged in individual entrepreneurship was selling "lyrica" psychedelic pills at one of the pharmacies on Baghramyan Street in Ejmiatsin.

On the same day, one of the buyers was discovered and taken to the department. During a search of a 46-year-old man from the village of Dghos in the Armavir region, 9 pills labeled "lyrica" were found. A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident.

Subsequently, the criminal investigators located and apprehended the 40-year-old woman. It soon became clear that she had also sold 8 pills to another man.

Within the framework of the initiated criminal case, the pharmacy was searched by court order. A total of 94 pills labeled "lyrica" were discovered and confiscated.

As a result of the operational-search measures, it was also revealed that the pharmacy's director had acquired the pills from a 49-year-old woman living in the village of Aygeshat in the Armavir region, who was also located and provided a confession. Expert examinations have been appointed. The pre-investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
