Police Arrest Driver of Stolen Lexus Under Investigation
On July 13, around 03:50, officers on duty with the patrol police received an instruction from the operational management center regarding a Lexus vehicle that was under investigation.
The patrol group spotted the speeding Lexus on Artsakh Street and attempted to stop it; however, the driver did not comply with the order, prompting the officers to initiate a chase.
While traveling at high speed, the Lexus lost control at the intersection of Arshakunyats Avenue and Garegin Nzhdeh Street, collided with a side barrier, and crashed into a police vehicle, causing damage.
The driver of the Lexus was arrested and taken to the Shengavit police department, where his identity was confirmed. It was also revealed that the vehicle was wanted by the Mashtots police department under a robbery-related criminal case.
The Lexus has been moved to a secured parking area of the Shengavit police department, and the driver was handed over to officers from the Mashtots police department.
The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
