Altercation and Brawl in Yerevan: Shots Fired, Several Stabbed Victims Hospitalized

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the investigative department of the New Nork police station is currently preparing materials regarding an alarm received on July 11 from the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" medical center.

On that day, the medical center reported that two citizens had been admitted with diagnoses of "abdominal wall stab wounds" and "stab wounds to the abdominal thorax." As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group of the New Nork police, led by the station head Astatryan, was dispatched to the hospital. The police established that the injured were 24-year-old Razmik Khachatryan and 22-year-old Edgar Khachatryan, residents of Yerevan.

On the following day, July 12, the New Nork police received another call from the "Erebuni" medical center, stating that a citizen with a diagnosis of "stab wound to the right flank" had been admitted. New Nork police, under the leadership of the department's operational deputy, went to the "Erebuni" medical center and found that the injured party was 51-year-old Robert Khachatryan, also a resident of Yerevan.

Doctors at both medical centers informed the police that the injured individuals were under their care and that it was currently not possible to provide explanations about the incident.

The detectives of the criminal investigation department of the New Nork police took extensive operational measures and found out that on July 11, around 2:00 PM, Razmik Khachatryan had argued with 34-year-old Gor Poghosyan, a resident of the New Nork administrative district, in the yard of a building on Totovents Street.

After the initial brawl, the confrontation continued around 11:30 PM at the same location. Razmik Khachatryan and his sons Razmik and Edgar Khachatryan had met with Gor Poghosyan, his father Karen Poghosyan, and two other residents of the New Nork administrative district - 33-year-old Vachagan Grigoryan, 33-year-old Levon Sakeyan, and 33-year-old Haikaz Mirzoyan, to discuss their earlier conflict. According to preliminary operational data, during this confrontation, Robert Khachatryan struck other participants with a baton he had with him, while Edgar Khachatryan fired shots at the participants with an air pistol, resulting in injuries to Karen Poghosyan. Following this, Gor Poghosyan attacked Robert Khachatryan and his sons Razmik and Edgar Khachatryan with a sharp cutting object.

The New Nork police are taking necessary measures to identify all participants in the brawl and to recover the sharp cutting object and the air pistol used in the crime.
