11-person group lost while climbing Mount Aragats, unable to descend

On July 13, at 05:38, a call was received at the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center reporting that one of the citizens had felt unwell while climbing from Kar lake to the summit of Mount Aragats, necessitating rescue assistance. This information comes from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry has been dispatched to the scene. It was established that the citizens had become lost and were unable to descend on their own. At 08:50, rescuers located the group of 11 individuals approximately 6 kilometers south of the summit, and they are being escorted to safety.
