We Await Your Thunderous Return, General: Tavush Diocese's Message to Grigori Khachaturov

The Tavush Diocese has issued the following statement: "It has been one year since the victorious battles in Tavush in July. Last year, around this time, we witnessed the valiant, skillful, and well-organized battles led by the Third Army Corps under the exceptional command of General Grigori Khachaturov, who embodies professionalism, honor, dedication, and a boundless love for our homeland as seen in his impressive command during the battles.

Every soldier and officer serving in Tavush, every civilian and teacher, every child and elder felt and bore the weight of your determination, honor, military conduct, calculated steps, and the significance of dedication to our nation, dear General. You earned that victory and gifted it to us, instilling in us a psychological resilience and strength to be victorious.

We thank you for the high level of faith, trust, will, and perseverance with which exceptional commanders in history have led, defended their people, safeguarded, and nurtured the borders of our state. We are grateful to you for becoming the embodiment of the 21st-century Armenian soldier.

Thank you for your military dignity, for keeping every corner of our northeast safe, and for your steadfastness in nurturing and strengthening us with your caring hands.

We feel deep regret and sorrow at your demobilization, for our state always needs like-minded, dignified, and caring hands that understand the importance of homeland. However, we consider this brief separation from you to be temporary.

We know that historical justice has a tendency to be restored, and thus a military leader like you will continue to guide the Armenian soldier, the Armenian army, and our nation's victorious march. You came quietly and expanded the borders of our state, and you left quietly, but we await your thunderous return, dear General."
