Defense Ministry Reveals Name of Contract Soldier Killed by Gunshot Wound

On the morning of July 14, a contract soldier of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Private Samvel Gagiki Alaverdyan, born in 1983, sustained a fatal gunshot wound due to provocation by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the Yerasxh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares in the heavy grief of this loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives, and comrades of the fallen soldier.
