VIDEO: Turkish Flag Disrespected in the Streets of Libya

Citizens in Libya have thrown the Turkish national flag to the ground, according to ermenihaber. In Tobruk, the eastern capital of Libya, citizens laid the Turkish flag on the road in front of the House of Representatives building, allowing parliament members and Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibah to walk over it.

Turkish media reports indicate that supporters of General Haftar treated the Turkish flag in this manner. Videos shared on social media show vehicles and feet trampling on the Turkish flag spread out on the ground.

It is noteworthy that last year, forces of the Libyan National Army led by General Khalifa Haftar used the Turkish flag as a symbolic enemy flag and hostile insignia during military exercises.
