Number of Tourists Visiting Armenia in First Five Months of 2021 Revealed

In April 2021, tourist visits to Armenia totaled approximately 41,881, while in May, this number rose to around 52,908. This information was provided in response to an inquiry from NEWS.am by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

From January to March 2021, the number of incoming tourist visits to Armenia was 86,524, which represents a decline of about 72% compared to the previous year, which had 307,590 tourists.

Thus, a total of 181,313 tourists visited Armenia within the first five months of the year. The number of outbound tourists during the January to March period was 44,574, marking a decrease of approximately 84% compared to the same period last year (279,435).

The Ministry also reminded that tourist visits to Armenia in 2020 amounted to about 375,216, indicating a decline of around 80% in comparison to the same time frame of the previous year. The 2020 figures were derived solely from the data of January to March, along with September and October to December periods.
