The List of Best and Worst Passports for Travel Has Been Released: Armenia Ranks 84th
The international consulting firm Henley & Partners has compiled a list of passports from all countries based on the travel opportunities available to citizens of those countries, as reported by tert.am.
Experts included 199 different passports in the list, comparing the access to visa-free travel to 227 destinations. Notably, the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic have significantly influenced this year's rankings compared to 2021.
Armenia ranks 84th on this list. Armenian citizens can travel to 64 countries without a visa, while they can visit an additional 163 countries with a visa. Last year, Armenia held the 77th position in this ranking.
This year's leading countries include Japan, whose citizens can visit 193 countries, Singapore (193), South Korea (191), Germany (191), Italy (190), Finland (190), Spain (190), Luxembourg (189), Austria (189), Sweden (188), France (188), Portugal (188), the Netherlands (188), Ireland (188), Switzerland (187), the USA (187), and the United Kingdom (187).
The countries with the worst passports are Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Nepal, North Korea, and Libya.
