VIDEO: Patrol Officers Begin Service in Yerevan from Today

Starting from July 7, patrol officers are beginning their service in Yerevan. In this regard, on July 6, the Chief of Police, Major General Vahe Ghazaryan, visited the patrol service unit in Yerevan.

The police press service reports that the police chief first laid flowers at the memorial dedicated to the police officers who lost their lives while performing their duties. Addressing the patrol officers, he emphasized that serving the law and the people is the greatest honor and urged them to be worthy of their choice, the best traditions of the police, and the immortal memory of their colleagues who heroically fell while on duty.

After the speech, Father Vrtanes Baghumyan conducted a blessing ceremony. The police chief, members of the police board, and high-ranking officers got acquainted with the patrol officers' uniforms, armaments, the technical equipment of their service vehicles, and interacted with the staff of the operational management center.

On the same day, Major General Vahe Ghazaryan and members of the police board visited the police operational management center, familiarizing themselves with the center’s work and innovations. Incoming alerts are transmitted to nearby patrols, who will arrive at the scene within a few minutes. New rapid response systems have been installed.
