Video: Series of Terror Attacks Prevented in Russia, Footage Released

A series of terror attacks has recently been prevented in the Russian Federation. Members of the Islamic State terrorist group were planning attacks in Moscow, Astrakhan, and Kabardino-Balkaria, according to a statement released by Russia's Federal Security Service, as reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that as a result of the operations conducted, 6 terrorists were killed and 2 were arrested. "In the territory of Russia, a series of terrorist attacks planned by members of the Islamic State group for the summer of 2021 has been prevented. As a result of the measures taken, 6 terrorists were neutralized and 2 criminals were detained," the FSB's statement said.

Specifically, a member of the group had planned to carry out an explosion in a crowded area using a homemade bomb; he was arrested last Thursday.
