Foreign Man Stabbed in Tbilisi During Protest Against LGBTQ Community for Wearing Earrings
During a protest against an LGBTQ parade in Tbilisi, a local resident attacked a foreign man with a knife. According to reports from RIA Novosti, citing the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the assailant has been arrested.
Eyewitnesses reported that the foreigner, who was walking through the city, received two stab wounds, with the motive for the attack being his wearing of earrings.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that, according to relatives of the arrested man, he had previously exhibited psychological issues. He may face 7 to 15 years in prison.
