Urartu First to Depart for Europe

The Yerevan football team Urartu has flown to Slovenia today via a direct flight from Yerevan to Maribor, where on July 8, they will meet with the local club of the same name as part of the first round of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

According to the club's press service, Urartu has departed for Slovenia with 24 players.

Goalkeepers: Anatoli Aivazov, Grigori Matevosyan

Defenders: Edgar Grigoryan, Salomon Nirisarike, Vadim Paramonov, Nana Antwi, Anna Mensah, Piotr Ten, Khariton Aivazyan, Erik Simonyan, Erik Piloyan

Midfielders: Hakob Hakobyan, Ugocukwu Iwu, Vitinho, Oleg Polyakov, Narek Grigoryan, Narek Aghasaryan, Sergey Mkrtchyan, Robert Baghramyan, Peter Mutumosi, Livio Milts

Forwards: Arthur Miranyan, Karen Melkonyan, Gevorg Tarakhchyan

Due to injury, Arsen Beglaryan and Jonel Desire did not travel to Maribor.

The match between Maribor and Urartu will take place on July 8 at Slovenia's national “Ljudski vrt” stadium and will kick off at 22:45 Yerevan time.

Armenia's champion Alashkert will fly to Wales tomorrow, while Ararat will head to Hungary. Noah will host their first match of the Confederation League in Armenia.
