FFA Officially Proposes Establishment of Professional Football League to Clubs

The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has officially approached clubs with a proposal to initiate discussions on the creation of a Professional Football League. This was reported on the FFA's official website.

Over the past year, the Football Federation of Armenia has been actively working towards the establishment of a Professional Football League, conducting numerous discussions with its international partners on the matter.

As a result of these interested discussions and the exchange of experience, the FFA has developed draft working versions of the charter for the Professional Football League of Armenia (PFLA) and a memorandum of understanding between the FFA and the PFLA, which were sent to clubs today by FFA President Armen Melikbekyan.

These documents were prepared in collaboration with the FFA staff and FIFA. During this process, the FFA also collaborated with the professional leagues of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, and Belgium.

The Football Federation of Armenia has requested all clubs to review the documents within a month, after which a meeting will be organized at the FFA with the participation of all interested parties to discuss proposals, observations, and further steps.

The FFA expects proactive participation from the clubs in analyzing the documents and during the subsequent discussion phases.
