Major Car Accident in Kotayk Province

A major car accident occurred in Kotayk Province on July 4. According to Shamshyan.com, around 22:00, on the 15th kilometer of the Yerevan-Artashat highway, in the administrative area of Proshyan village, a collision took place between a VAZ-21012 and a KrAZ brand truck.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the driver of the VAZ-21012 was trapped inside the vehicle. To rescue him, the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service dispatched a firefighting and rescue team from Yerevan, equipped with one combat unit.

Emergency medical services also arrived promptly at the scene. With the assistance of citizens and specialized equipment, rescuers managed to extricate the driver from the vehicle. After receiving initial medical treatment on site, he was transported to the Armenia Medical Center.
