Suspect of Multi-Million Theft from 'CREDO' Credit Organization Identified in Yerevan
On July 1, through extensive operational and investigative actions, law enforcement officers from the Armenian police's Criminal Investigation Department, the Yerevan City Police Criminal Investigation Division, the Malatia Police Division, and the Yerevan Investigative Committee's Malatia-Sebastia investigative unit uncovered the identity of the armed robber who attacked the Malatia branch of the 'CREDO' credit organization on Andranik Street in Yerevan on June 28.

Subsequently, the police and investigators conducted surveillance at probable locations of the suspect, followed by explanatory work.
According to sources, the suspect is a 40-year-old resident of Yerevan named Ashot D., who voluntarily presented himself to the Malatia Police Division around midnight yesterday, from where he was handed over to the Malatia Investigative Division.
The source reveals that Ashot D. is a manager at one of the companies operating in Yerevan and had outstanding loan debts, which he states was the reason for his actions. Currently, a case is being examined against him in one of Yerevan's courts.
Additionally, the police were alerted to the robbery by Gayane G., a 29-year-old resident of Armavir province, who works as a manager at the aforementioned branch.
