25-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian Crossing Street at Prohibited Area in Yerevan
Today, July 2, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 11:30 AM, a 25-year-old resident of Yerevan, Mnatsakan Yeghiazaryan, struck a male pedestrian aged approximately 65-70 years with his Mercedes vehicle while he was crossing the street at a prohibited area, near the "Gor and Ishkhan" car wash on Shiraki Street.
According to shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene but called for an ambulance by dialing 1-03 in Yerevan and assisted the employees of the car wash in transferring the injured pedestrian to the "Erebuni" medical center. Afterward, he reported the incident to the operational management center of the Yerevan Traffic Police.
The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene, which established that he was sober.
